TRIPMETER SUPPORT

EZ RALLY
TRIPMETER.

The online guide for setup, calibration, rally-day operation, purchases and GPS troubleshooting.

Getting Started

Location Permission: allow the location access requested by the app so distance and speed can be measured. Precise Location: keep it enabled for rally use. Before your first rally, select units, resolution and colors, then verify the display while stationary.

Reading Trip 1 / Trip 2 / Speed

Trip 1 and Trip 2 provide two independent distance references, while Speed shows current GPS-derived speed. Use the two trip readings according to your roadbook workflow and keep the display configuration simple enough to read at a glance.

Lock

Lock is for preventing accidental touches. Distance measurement continues while Lock is active. Use it when you want the tripmeter to keep measuring but do not want an accidental screen touch to change the display.

Pause / Resume

Pause is different from Lock. Pause stops distance measurement until Resume. Use it only when you intentionally want measurement to stop.

Background Operation

During an active measurement, Tripmeter is designed to keep the same trip when the screen is locked or you temporarily switch to another app, subject to iOS permissions and system behavior. Fully terminating the app stops active measurement.

Auto Calibration

Drive a known roadbook distance, enter the official reference distance and the distance shown by EZ Rally, then calculate the factor. The new Current Factor is applied to help match the organizer's roadbook.

Current Factor & Manual Adjustment

Current Factor shows the calibration currently applied. Manual Adjustment lets you fine-tune that factor when required. Calibration is intended to match a roadbook reference, not to claim absolute GPS accuracy.

Distance Resolution

Standard — 10 m: a simpler distance display. High — 1 m: a finer displayed distance resolution. Resolution changes how distance is displayed; it does not make the iPhone GPS inherently ten times more accurate.

Poor GPS Conditions & Tunnels

Buildings, elevated roads, tunnels, underground parking and other obstructions can reduce GPS quality. The app is designed to recover as location quality improves, but GPS-based measurement can still be affected by the environment.

Free 100 km & Unlock

All Tripmeter features are available during the first 100 km so you can evaluate the actual product. After the included distance is used, unlock the full version with the one-time in-app purchase shown in the App Store.

Restore Purchases / Changing iPhones

If you reinstall the app or move to another compatible iPhone using the same Apple account, use Restore Purchases where available. Billing and refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies.

Safety comes first. Set up the app before driving. Drivers must not interact with EZ Rally while driving. Where permitted, any required operation while moving should be performed by a co-driver or passenger.
