What EZ Rally Timer Does
Timer is built for regularity rally timing. It keeps the current control and next control clear, gives large PC countdowns and audio cues, and lets the co-driver trigger the actual passage of SPC, PC and CO.
Prepare the rally before driving. During competition, SPC, PC and CO progression is controlled by the co-driver's tap — never by an automatic time-based advance.
Timer is built for regularity rally timing. It keeps the current control and next control clear, gives large PC countdowns and audio cues, and lets the co-driver trigger the actual passage of SPC, PC and CO.
Create an Event, then build its Days from the roadbook. The Full version is designed for up to 10 saved Events, up to 10 Days per Event and up to 999 PCs per Day. The Free version provides 1 Event, 1 Day and up to 5 PCs while keeping normal features available.
SPC: the co-driver taps to start. PC: shows relative time — remaining seconds, 0.0 and then overrun — without an absolute clock. CO: uses absolute time only. PC and CO never auto-advance simply because a time has been reached.
Add SPC, PC and CO in roadbook order. Edit, delete and reorder controls before driving. Review the Event, Day, control sequence, distances, speeds and CO times before the start.
READY means the SPC is prepared for the co-driver's start tap. PAUSED is a non-competition waiting state, such as preparing the next Day. Timer does not add a general-purpose Pause button for arbitrary use during a running PC sequence.
The PC display counts toward 0.0. If 0.0 passes before the line is tapped, the display continues into the positive overrun. The co-driver's actual tap at the line is the trigger that records the PC result and moves to the next Control.
Short audio cues begin from 60 seconds before the target. The alert changes for the final 5 seconds. Audio assists timing but does not replace the visual display or the co-driver's line judgement.
CO displays absolute time only. The co-driver taps at the actual control passage to record the CO time and advance. There is no automatic CO passage.
The top-left navigation is the competition navigation point for Event, Day and Control selection. If a Control is tapped by mistake, use this navigation to return to the correct Control; there is no separate Undo button.
After the final PC or CO of a Day is tapped, Timer shows FINISH. If another Day exists, OPEN DAY 2 (or the next Day) makes that Day active in a waiting state rather than starting it automatically.
Timer retains the active Event, Day and last active Control. On recovery, it should present the Control-selection view around that last location so the co-driver can choose the correct place to resume. The app should not guess how far the rally progressed while it was unavailable.
Results are stored with the Event. PC Results record the tap difference, SPC records the actual start time, and CO records the actual tap time. Deleting an Event also deletes its associated Results. Duplicating an Event does not duplicate Results.
Duplicate Event is intended for reusing a rally structure, for example the following year's event. Review dates, start times and all event-specific control data after duplication before use.
